Travelling all the way from the Land Down Under Carina and Jan-Gys returned to home ground to celebrate their marriage union. Jan-Gys, the happy farmer that always has a smile on his face and Carina his lovely bride standing by his side – a power couple that owns and runs a mango and avocado farm back in Australia – have planned their wedding for a little over one year and we were blessed to be a part of it.
Having known each other from school days this special story has been blossoming for several years in anticipation of this day. Soft hues of blush and organic green dotted the scenes of the lovely Bakenhof venue which sits in the heart if the winelands as it was converted from a glass hot-house to a lavish garden conservatory.
The day was filled with happy surprises from a helicopter fly-by to warm African boma fires to keep the cold at bay. The key word that reminisces is ‘Celebration’. And this celebration was not only towards their wedding but also to celebrate their closeness of their relationship with all their friends and family which is as evident as their love for each other. Guests had travelled from all corners of South Africa to be there and this party did not die down until the wee hours of the morning.
This wedding was a collaboration of many hours of planning, three revised wedding themes and styles to build up to the final look, the hands of hugely talented services providers, many skype sessions and email streams – yet it all came together gracefully and beautifully on a picture perfect day which is, yet again, a prime example of the beautiful winter days South Africa has to offer.
CSE collaborations would like to give tribute to the following service providers without whom this day would not have been possible:
