Picture rolling apple orchards, evergreen surrounds, a farm dam that stretches towards the setting sun and the happy smiles of this special couple. Even with the day dreamy description I could not begin to capture the incredible fun this wedding unfolded to.
I had the privilege to work with Emile and Riel for a period of eleven months. From the get-go Emile was a bride I immediately ‘clicked’ with due to our like-minded need for detail. Over the next eleven month’s we tweaked, designed, planned, brain-stormed and arranged a day filled with lots and lots of detail. From pewline arrangements, a rainbow bridal bouquet, festive carnival runs to bonfires and cosy alcoves.
Emile and Riel chose the beautiful Rock Haven Farm in the Elgin valley as the magical backdrop for their special day. Apples, pears and fruits of love where all in abundance as they should be.
During the last month’s of the wedding planning Emile was also completing her final exams to qualify for Charted Accountancy. Despite this she was a cool summer breeze of freshness and happiness on her wedding day.
Wedding ceremony took place in the boat house located on the estate. As the sun casually lapsed at the trebling waves of the farm dam Emile and Riel said their vows in a tangibly committed way which was closed off with a round of applause.
The decor was done with a casual country vintage style incorporating touches of rustic elements. Our colour scheme was sage green and pink – both incredibly fresh and lending towards the theme.
I had a joyful time planning, styling and coordinating this special wedding. Emile, Riel, thank you for putting your faith in me in making the day the detail-orientated one you had always hoped for. It was a pleasure to work with you straight through.
