Sometimes a styled shoot is merely having a load of fun while expressing a new look or details within a conceptualised look. That’s exactly what we had in mind with this off the wall Rock n Roll bridal shoot.
Getting together with a team of like-minded, out-of-the-box thinkers, we brainstormed everything from alternative bridal bouquets, floral accessories, leather goods, to Asking Marthinus van Tee to caricatorize behind the scenes while our models struck a pose.
A special word of thanks to everyone involved and to the bubbly, lively Claire Thompson for capturing these for us.
As with any wedding first impressions last and our playful Save The Date invites are sure to set the correct tone for the fun that would follow.
Parcelled ceremony and reception stationery continue this unique line of attention to detail while place seatings’ are well rounded off by vinyl monogram stickers. Well done to the amazing Madre Kohn Creative for these nifty, unique stationery elements.
I love working with the creative lady-team behind BlomLief. Together we showed off some pretty wild alternative bouquets including a ‘caged bouquet’, a key ring bouquet, floral tie clips and bow-tie details to amazing floral shoe accessories. Colony Designs is responsible for these highly sophisticated leather items – go check out their work. Check out these images to show case how they looked:
Behind every radiating bride stands an amazing designer who designs a dress made to kill – no better words are there for the talented Alana van Heerden and Juanita Toerien who crafted these tea-length wedding dresses.
Kerry Hanna of Fringe Make up and Hair studio was our magic hand behind the make-up strokes. Check out the orange chalk we used on our models hair.
Dessy di Mar of Cake My Day was the sweet frosting on the applique cake that made you want to step on over and inspect even more. With detailed images of all things Rock n Roll this cake is sure to grab attention.
As a last tease we leave you with these images and touches…rock on baby.
